Handmade Furled Leader of poly thread for easier and better fly fishing!
Our Furled Leaders come with a loop at the end that attaches to your fly line and either a loop or tippet ring at the tip, depending on the model and your choice. Read more about the difference between a loop and a tippet ring below. We also offer a Furled Leader with a "ContrastTip" where the tip of the leader has a contrasting color to be more visible on the water, while the rest of the leader is natural colored.
We offer three different models in a number of different colors, see the description in the "Models" section for specifications on the different models.
NOTE!: Don't forget to complement your Furled Leader with a can of Leader Wax to be able to use the leader for dry fly fishing. Or why not take the opportunity to buy the Furled Leader + Wax with our combo offer!

(If you want to use 6x or thinner tippet, we recommend first using 30-60cm of 5x tippet, then an appropriate length of, for example, 6x.)

⮞ ⮟ Loop, Tippet Ring, and ContrastTip?
We offer our Furled Leaders with a few different tip variations. A knotted loop, tippet ring, or ContrastTip.
The tippet ring makes it easier to tie on a piece of tippet with a knot instead of looping on tippet, BUT a metal ring will always create a bit more splash in the water than a loop. Personally, I use a loop for dry flies and a ring for streamers and sinking lines.
Our ContrastTip is a variation of our Furled Leaders where the tip comes in a contrasting color compared to the rest of the line. This makes the leader's tip easier to see on the water's surface and can also act as a kind of indicator if the fly itself is small or very difficult to see!
NOTE: Tippet rings are available for the All-Round and Heavy models. ContrastTip is only available with a loop.
⮞ ⮟ About Furled Leaders
Furled Leaders are made by using several strands of material twisted together into a tapered leader.
This construction provides outstanding control over the fly and a smooth transfer of energy from the fly line to the fly. This, in turn, results in delicate and soft presentations that can be crucial for enticing cautious fish in challenging conditions such as glassy lakes.
In flowing water, Furled Leaders excel due to their natural drift with low "drag," allowing the fly to follow the currents naturally without the leader "pulling" on the fly.
Thanks to their twisted construction, Furled Leaders have almost no line memory and are very "leader-less" unlike a stiff poly or fluorocarbon leader. This can help reduce the risk of tangles, and a Furled Leader does not coil up into a spiral on the water.
